The leader of the Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement, Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, said that they would not “withdraw their hands” if Israel tried to turn “Somaliland” into a base for it to control the Gulf of Aden, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea.

In a speech on the occasion of the tenth of Muharram, Al-Houthi said that the Yemeni people are steadfast in supporting the great causes of the Islamic nation, especially the Palestinian cause.

He also spoke about the understanding between Iran and the United States, describing Iran’s victory as “an important victory for the entire axis of resistance and the Islamic nation”.

He added that they call on the countries bordering the Red Sea and the Islamic world in general to take a united stance against this, saying that they will not wait for anyone else if Israel establishes a base there, and will use “all possible means.”

Al-Houthi also called on Islamic states to support Somalia, care for the Somali people, and prevent what he described as Israeli targeting, which he said is a threat to the sovereignty of Somalia and Islamic countries.
