Puntland’s Cabinet and regional governors were reshuffled by President Dani.

Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has reshuffled and appointed the cabinet, regional governors and other government agencies, according to a recent decree issued by the Puntland presidency.

The new cabinet consists of 43 members appointed to various ministries, including justice, interior, health, planning, information and fisheries. Their appointments come as President Deni reshuffles his government for the first time in more than two years.

President Deni has included members from Sool region, who held positions in the former SSC Khaatumo administration, in his cabinet. Among them is former SSC Khaatumo information minister Najib Barkhadle.

The reshuffle also includes other officials, including the presidential security adviser, the government auditor general and the governor of Puntland Bank.

Meanwhile, President Deni has appointed governors for the Puntland regions, including Bari, Nugaal, Mudug, Sanaag and Karkaar.

These new appointments are expected to have an impact on the political direction of Puntland, with eyes on how the government will address the difficult circumstances in the administrative areas.
