The Commander of the 4th AUSSOM Division, Colonel Abdirahman Rayaale, inspected Djiboutian troops in Jalalaqsi district to assess the security situation in Hiran region.
Colonel Rayaale commended the troops for their high professionalism and continued efforts in combating Al-Shabaab, while also urging them to remain vigilant.
During his visit, Colonel Rayaale met with local authorities, including the Jalalaqsi District Commissioner, Nur Absuge, and the Regional Commander, Colonel Abdinasiir Ali.
The meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation and advancing the joint operation to eradicate Al-Shabaab.
Colonel Rayaale also visited Jalalaqsi General Hospital to assess the health and humanitarian challenges facing the local community. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for additional support to the local population, given the urgent needs there.
Colonel Rayaale’s visit comes at a time of intense joint efforts to stabilize conflict-affected areas, with AUSSOM committed to achieving lasting peace and cooperation between the military, the administration, and civil society.
