The Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia has provided further details about the deadly and injured fighting that took place today in the town of Beledhawo between government forces and Jubbaland administration forces.
In a press release, the Ministry of Internal Security of Somalia has made serious allegations that the leader of the Jubbaland administration, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, Ahmed Madobe, is behind the fighting that took place today in Beledhawo.
“The Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia regrets and strongly condemns the criminal act committed by the accused Ahmed Mohamed Islam in the town of Beledhawo, Gedo region, this afternoon, where militias under his command carried out a brutal attack on public service centers and national army camps,” the Ministry of Internal Security said in a press release.
The press release also stated that anyone involved in today’s attack on security forces in the town of Beledhawo, Gedo region, will be brought to justice.
“This act, which is part of Ahmed Madobe’s ongoing crimes, has deliberately targeted facilities including the Immigration and Nationality Authority office and camps housing security forces,” the statement from the Ministry of Internal Security said.
Finally, a press release issued by the Ministry of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia details the official casualties resulting from the fighting that took place today in the town of Baladxawo in the Gedo region.
