Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been invited to attend the upcoming summit between the Russian government and the Arab League in Moscow.
President Hassan Sheikh received Mr. Mikhail L. Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, at Villa Somalia.
The two officials also discussed ways to further strengthen relations between the two governments of Somalia and Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he will host the Arab League in Moscow to discuss several issues.
Putin discussed these issues with the President of Oman, who visited Moscow last week. The issues on the table include Gaza, Syria and Russia’s desire to expand its warm relationship with the Arab countries.
