The authorities of Jubaland have confirmed the death of the deputy chairman of security and politics in Baled-Hawo district, Abdifatah Noor Matan, in a mine explosion that took place in the district.
The reports say that yesterday a landmine went off with him, soldiers and other officials who were with him when they were returning from the airport in Baled-Haawo district where they went for work and inspection.
The people of the area and witnesses said that death and injuries resulted from the explosion.
The officials of Jubaland said that the injuries suffered by the deputy governor in the explosion and he died because there was a lot of congestion in the plane after it was possible to send a special plane that brought him to Mogadishu yesterday and it was confirmed that after he was brought He died in a hospital in Mogadishu.
Until now, no one has officially claimed the attack, although such attacks targeting the authorities are claimed by the Al Shabaab movement.
