Puntland strongly accused the Federal Government of Somalia of hindering the efforts to care for the wounded Puntland soldiers who were injured in the fight against ISIS.
The Vice President of Puntland, Ilyas Osman Lugatoo, who spoke about it, said that the Federal Government has not given any support to Puntland, and that it has failed in the fight against ISIS.
“We will not ask for support from the Federal Government, and it has failed to help Puntland in its fight against Daesh. The last injury to be taken prevented his consent,” said Vice President Lugator.
The last soldiers who were injured in the Daesh war were taken to Ethiopia, after the Ethiopian government helped Puntland to bring the seriously wounded soldiers to their country for treatment.
However, Puntland has lost many soldiers in the war with Daesh since the operation started in December last year.
Daesh is using drones to target Puntland forces. Even though the military managed to thwart a large number of explosions that were carried out by drones.
