The time that the federal government of Somalia decided to close the Ethiopian consulates in the cities of Garowe (Puntland) and Hargeisa (Somaliland) ended on Thursday.
According to our information, the two consulates are working normally now, and there is no impact on the decision of the federal government of Somalia.
The authorities of Somaliland and Puntland have already rejected the decision from Mogadishu, saying that the decisions of the federal government do not work in their areas.
The two administrations each said that they have friendly and commercial relations with Ethiopia.
The Somali government has accused the Ethiopian government of flagrant violations in Somalia’s internal affairs.
In the decision of last week’s Cabinet of Ministers of Somalia, the government said that if it is not implemented, it will take any action to protect its territorial independence.
The reports we have quoted from diplomatic sources say that the Somali government is preparing a case to be submitted to the United Nations, which is an accusation against Ethiopia’s intervention.
