The people of Baladxawo district in Gedo region held a large-scale protest in the city today to protest a recent order issued by Ethiopian forces in Gedo region.

The order that the people of Baladxawo are protesting is an order that the Somali government forces led by Abdirashid Janan should withdraw from Baladxawo district.

The protesters were from different sections of the community in the district, and they were shouting slogans expressing their support for the government forces, while also condemning the intervention of Ethiopian forces.

Some of the protesters told the media that they would not accept foreign forces interfering in the internal affairs of Baladxawo district, especially in terms of security and the presence of the national forces.

However, most Somalis see the order issued by the Ethiopian army in Gedo as undermining the independence of Somalia, and there has been no response from the Somali government to this order issued by Ethiopia.
