This MoU is intended to strengthen transport connectivity, accelerate trade flows, and expand development cooperation between the Turkish government and other signatory countries.

“It is a historic step that symbolizes joint efforts to achieve sustainable development, economic growth, and strong infrastructure ties. The Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport thanks the Federal Cabinet for their full support for this important initiative,” said a statement from the Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government.

The statement from the Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia also stated that this significant cooperation will play a key role in achieving the goals set by the Somali government.

The Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport also said that such cooperation is a major development for Somali ports, which are key to the country’s economic growth.

Finally, it is worth noting that the Council of Ministers meeting that approved this agreement also ratified an agreement recently reached between the governments of Somalia and Egypt, which relates to cooperation in matters of justice and the National Policy on Labor Migration.
