A press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia praised the democratic process and the peaceful atmosphere that concluded the elections in Somaliland.
The statement issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Somalia also stated that the government of Somalia is committed to empowering the Somali people and conducting elections by person and vote.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the XFS, which is closely following the presidential and party elections in Somaliland, congratulates the stability and peaceful environment in which the elections have ended, the elections that have ended such as; The registration process, the election campaign, voting and confidence messages from the electoral commission, all these steps were seen from experience, patience and political maturity” said in the press release of the Ministry of Interior.
This news from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Somalia comes as the elections held in Somaliland ended peacefully and the international observers who were monitoring the election said that the election was fair.
