According to the press release, MPs who responded to the invitation of the President of Jubaland held talks with the leaders of Jubaland and the local community.
However, they found that unilateral decisions that have recently been swept away by war, especially those in the field and the election commissions, have shown great disrespect for the process, and it shows that the ongoing negotiations are not respected.
“While we are determined to find a solution to the issues that connect Jubbaland and the election insurgents, their response to the general situation risks giving rise to the existing conflicts,” the press release said.
