The Supreme Court of the country has today on Wednesday made an official decision on the murder case against Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud who was accused of killing his wife Luul Abdicasis who was pregnant.
The Supreme Court held the last session today in the case of Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud, after Sayid Ali’s lawyers appealed against the death sentence that was previously handed down to Sayid Ali by the Banadir regional court.
The President of the High Court of Bashe Ahmed Yusuf said before today’s session that Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud was found guilty of the crime he was accused of intentionally killing his late wife Luul Abdizais Mohamed.
Governor Bashe Ahmed Yusuf announced that the Supreme Court agreed with the death sentences that were previously handed down to Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud by the Banadir regional court and the appeal.
The decision of the Supreme Court was widely welcomed by the relatives of the late Luul Abdicisis, who said that they had been waiting for the verdict handed down to Sayid Ali for nine months, and they demanded that the death sentence be carried out as soon as possible.
