A large demonstration has recently started in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in support of changes to the Constitution.
The demonstration was organized by the administration of Banadir region, and the leaders of the administration of the region, other government officials and many other people are participating.
The aim of the demonstration is to show support for the constitutional amendment plan led by the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
Security in Mogadishu has been greatly tightened, and the main roads leading to Daljirka Dahsoon, where the demonstration is taking place, have been closed.
Leaders and officials participating in the demonstration will give speeches on the issues of amending the Constitution and its importance for the country.
