The Somali quality agency today presented seven stolen containers of flour at the port of Mogadishu, which were intended to be taken to the markets to be sold to the people.
The organization said that Somali businessmen have bought it from Turkey, and it said that this month of March is the time when it would happen.
The director of the inspection of the products of the organization, Mohamud Ilmi Fiidshe said that they have stopped the flour from entering the market, saying that they will fulfill their responsibility.
Mohamud Ilmi Fiidshe warned Somali businessmen to be careful of selling expired products.
He said that the health problems in the country, including cancer, are caused by the food, medicine, and counterfeit goods brought into the country by businessmen.
He said that the agency is aware that the cosmetics used by women imported into the country have caused skin cancer.
He said that neighboring countries like Kenya and Tanzania have banned all these drugs.
