The Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur, Adan Madobe today chaired the 23rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the People’s Assembly.
The agenda of this meeting was the suspension of the sessions of the People’s Assembly during the performance of Hajj, the Eid holiday and the agenda of reports related to the accountability of the Government.
The Standing Committee, during its meeting, agreed to suspend the session of the People’s Assembly from next Saturday, which is the date of 17-June 2023, and the committee also announced that the sessions of the Assembly will be reopened on 5- in July 2023.
The committee also discussed in their meeting that the Federal Government should submit the budget audit by the 30th of June in accordance with Article 102 Clause 1 of the Bylaws of the House of People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
