The Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, has presented a sum of 20,000 dollars to the Somali citizen who handed over a Bajaj motorcycle carrying an explosive device to the security agencies.

The Prime Minister, who was standing by the director of security of NISA, Mahad Mohamed Salad, said that this action was brought about by the cooperation and trust of the community in the security agencies.

Prime Minister Hamse praised the citizen who submitted this information, the courage and patriotism he showed to share with the security agencies the motorcycle carrying an explosive and the Prime Minister said that Al-Shabaab wanted to kill civilians.
Last month, the Somali government awarded a woman named Maamo Farhiya 10,000 dollars after al-Shabaab armed men refused to take shelter in her house to attack the government forces.

Maamo Farhiya and the armed men fought in her house in the Kakhda district of Mogadishu.

The government sees this action as encouraging the public to report if they see an explosion.
