The Federal Government of Somalia, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, opened a meeting today in Nairobi.
This company is about the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program, for reforming the financial process and the Debt Forgiveness Process in Somalia.
This 4-day conference will focus on internal revenue issues, the Public Financial Management (PFM) system, Good Governance and the Financial Reform process.
Somalia’s Minister of Finance Dr. Elmi Mohamud Noor, who officially opened the conference, said that they will discuss the development of increasing domestic revenue, the implementation of the General Financial Administration system and the reform of the country’s economic infrastructure.
Finance Minister Dr. Ilmi M. Nur said that they are taking a comprehensive government action to succeed in the implementation of development plans for financial reform and the completion of the Somalia Debt Forgiveness Program.
