The umbrella of the Puntland opposition has warned of the consequences of the extension of President Deni’s term.
The statement of the opposition umbrella was being answered by a decision of the Puntland Election Committee, which has set a new schedule for the parliamentary and presidential elections in Puntland.
The Puntland Election Commission has postponed the election period from January 8 to 25 February 2024.
The opposition said that they are conducting extensive consultations with the various sections of the community, to ensure that the election takes place on time on January 8.
They also called for the removal of President Deni and accused him of wanting to destroy and negotiate the stability and peace of Puntland.
