There are more reports of an attack by members of the Al-Shabaab group in the middle of the night last night on the post of the local re-election forces known as Mawisleyda in Abourey area of Hiran region.
Reports say that the fight between the local army and the Al-Shabaab group in the Abourey area last night was intense and lasted for almost an hour, in which both sides used different types of weapons.
One of the local residents told us that the Al-Shabaab group suffered a lot of losses in the battle that took place last night in Abourey, and 8 members were killed in the attack.
The Al-Shabaab members who attacked the Aboorey area are said to have crossed the Shabelle River which divides East and West Hiran.
Last year, the entire eastern Hiran region was liberated from the Al-Shabaab group, which is now carrying out stealth attacks in the liberated areas by crossing the Shabelle River, as the group is still in many areas in Western Hiran.
