Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbalooshe, the former head of NISA, commended the peaceful demonstration held by the people of the Hiiran region, stating that they demonstrated courage and resilience in defending their rights.
Sanbalooshe described the demonstration as an expression of the public’s will and grievances, specifically praising the lawmakers, politicians, traditional elders, women, youth, and other segments of society who participated in the rally.
“Your voice has reached Somalis and the rest of the world. The struggle to seek justice requires patience, unity, and resilience,” said Abdullahi Sanbalooshe.
He added that rejecting injustice is both a religious and moral obligation, praising the people of Hiiran for peacefully expressing their stance.
Sanbalooshe concluded his statement by saying: “You were not absent yesterday; you made your presence felt, people of Hiiran.”
A demonstration opposing the Hirshabelle election was held yesterday in the Hiiran region, with prominent politicians and influential figures from the area agreeing that an election lacking consensus should not take place in the region.
