The President of Hirshabelle state, Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe), has announced that he is a candidate for the Hirshabelle presidential election, noting that he is a member of the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP).
In an interview, Ali Guudlaawe said that he has officially nominated himself, but that the party is still in the process of selecting its official candidates.
“I am a candidate, and I am a member of the JSP party,” he said, adding that the party’s final decision on the candidate will come in due course.
The Hirshabelle president also said that his administration welcomes all political parties that want to operate in the Hirshabelle areas, and is ready to open offices in the administration.
In a message to the people of Hirshabelle, Ali Guudlaawe called for strengthening unity and support for the development of the administration, noting that political positions are subject to change, while the development of Hirshabelle is a shared responsibility of the community.
He also said that his administration is ready to listen to the suggestions, complaints and ideas of the people, in order to strengthen cooperation and development of the state.
