The PSF has responded to a serious accusation recently made by the governor of Mudug region in Puntland, Feysal Sheikh Ali Jife-Jabsade, who accused them of being involved in insecurity in Galkayo.
A PSF official in Galkayo said the accusation was baseless. He said that the PSF has always stood for the defense, unity and security of Puntland, and has never worked for anything that would lead to instability in Puntland.
He said that there are people with vested interests who are spreading false information to the public, which he said is making the PSF an enemy of the people of Galkayo.
“We are with the people, stay in good faith. Do not be misled. The PSF is the army that defended Puntland, they are the ones who died for it, were injured, and serve it loyally,” he said.
The Governor of Mudug Region in Puntland, Faysal Sheikh Ali Jifo-jabsade, has accused the PSF of serving the Federal Government of Somalia and engaging in illegal activities that threaten the security of Puntland.
The Governor said that the military activities carried out by the PSF in Galkayo are specifically aimed at creating military clashes and chaos, thereby disrupting the stability of Galkayo.
