Puntland said that the security of Bosaso airport is secure, as domestic and foreign flights are landing directly. This statement came a few days after the airport was closed due to a warning from the PSF.
According to a press release issued by the Puntland Ministry of Aviation, airlines have been informed that the airport is fully operational and there is no security threat at Bosaso airport. The ministry confirmed that yesterday, planes from outside the country and inside the country landed at the airport, which also took off safely.
Also, the Ministry of Aviation of Puntland has described as false the news that no flight has landed at the airport for several days.
However, other news confirmed by HOL says that some of the airlines refused to land their planes in Bosaso, expressing security concerns.
The PSF has a military base not far from Bosaso airport, causing some airlines to fear that planes landing at Bosaso airport could be a potential target.
