The president of the South West administration, Abdicasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, spoke strongly today about the recent crisis caused by the South West’s support for the presence of Ethiopian troops.

President Laftagareen first of all described the statements made by the people of Mogadishu as shameful and regrettable, and that they were the ones who are destroying the unity of the Somali people.

“If there is Somaliness, it starts from the Southwest, what Mogadishu said is a shame for unity,” said the president of Southwest Abdicasis Laftagareen.

He also commended President Laftagareen to the members of parliament from the South-West who have become aware of the people they represent who refused to send the Egyptian army to the areas of the administration, and demanded that Ethiopia not be removed from their areas.

“The 25 MPs who supported the wishes of their people are like 13-SYL, I feel the wishes of the people of the South West. Hasana represents their people in the South West. They cannot be taken from another tribe and they do not represent them. The country is a federal state,” said President Laftagareen.

Finally, the president of the South West government called on the people of South West country and abroad to unite against everything that hinders their unity.
