The Federal Government of Somalia has condemned the missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, expressing its support and solidarity with the government and people of the country.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Mogadishu fully supports the sovereignty, security and stability of Kuwait, describing the attacks as a threat to regional peace and security.

The Somali government stressed the importance of respecting international law and the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, calling on the parties concerned to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.

“Somalia stands with the government and people of Kuwait at this difficult time,” the statement said, which also noted the need to resolve disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means.
