The Military Court this morning executed two men convicted of murder and bombings in Mogadishu.

The two men who were executed were named as Hassan Ali Iftin Buule (Gacmey) and Hassan Ali Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed. According to the court, the defendants were previously charged with crimes related to security in the capital.

The court said the sentence was carried out after all judicial procedures were completed, including investigations, prosecution and legal defense provided to the defendants.

According to military judicial officials, the men were previously brought before the court and were found guilty of the crimes they were charged with after evaluating evidence and witnesses related to their cases.

The Military Court continues to hear cases related to security crimes, as the federal government tightens measures to ensure security and accountability of security agencies.
