The Kenyan government has reinforced its forces along its border with Somalia to prevent attacks feared by the Al-Shabaab group inside Kenya.
Kenyan military forces with large vehicles are said to have crossed the border into Somalia, which have been augmented by troops operating at the border crossings between Kenya and Somalia.
The increase in Kenyan troops on the border with Somalia reportedly comes after the Kenyan President recently discussed with military, intelligence and police officers to strengthen security and prevent Al-Shabaab attacks.
However, the Kenyan government is determined not to put any strain on the important routes for the movement of its troops from Somalia, especially in the Jubbaland administration areas where they regularly supply supplies.
This step is finally coming, as the Al-Shabaab group has repeatedly carried out attacks that have caused various casualties in some areas within Kenya, especially in the Northeastern region.
