The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, held a special meeting today at his office in Mogadishu with a high-level delegation from the Turkish government.
The high-level delegation from the Turkish government that met with the Prime Minister of Somalia was led by the Director of the African Department of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Onaner.
The meeting, which was a meeting in which both parties focused on the relations between Somalia and Turkey, especially cooperation in the areas of security and counter-terrorism, to ensure the stability of the country and the security of the region in general, was attended by the Ambassador of the Turkish government to Somalia, Ambassador Alper Aktaş.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, thanked the government and people of Turkey for their unwavering support and their constant support for the Somali government.
Hamse Abdi Narre also noted that Turkey is an important friend that plays a prominent role in supporting the security, protection of the unity, independence, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The Director of the African Department of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Onaner, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the reception of the Somali Prime Minister, He noted that the government and people of the Republic of Turkey always stand by the government of Somalia, and will further strengthen the cooperative relations between the two governments.
