The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre, has for the first time strongly criticized the Federal system in Somalia.

Hamse Abdi Barre has clearly stated that the Federal system, which has been in place for 22 years in the country, has not added anything to the country.

“The Federal system does not only fail us, it improves us, we are helpless. This system has been operating in the country for 22 years and has increased our tribalism, so we need someone who will specifically monitor the system and bring us a good solution,” said Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia made this statement today at a ceremony where scholars who completed their Master and PhD degrees at the University for Peace (UPEACE) graduated.

The Prime Minister of Somalia urged scholars to use their knowledge to serve the people and the country, and to give special priority to the development of knowledge, in order to overcome the obstacles to the stability and development of Somali society.
