The father is said to have slaughtered his daughter in the airspace of the Baardheere district, specifically in the Iftin IDP camp area.

The governor of the Baardheere district in the Gedo region, Adam Mohamed Ahmed Dhagacade, confirmed the horrific incident to the media, saying that the forces are searching for the father who killed his daughter.
“It is true that a father slaughtered his daughter today. We were told that he was driving his daughter in a car and he was beaten up. When he took her outside the city, he slaughtered her. We cannot confirm why he slaughtered his daughter, but an investigation is underway,” said the district governor of Baardheere, Adam Mohamed Ahmed Dhagacade.
The governor also said that this incident has shocked the people of Baardheere in general, and noted that justice will be brought to the father who slaughtered his daughter.
