More news is emerging about a car accident that occurred early this morning at the Jubba Junction in Mogadishu, which caused a number of deaths and injuries.
The accident occurred after a truck coming from the main port of Mogadishu crashed into a Bajaj motorcycle on the road with three people on board.
Of the three people on the Bajaj, one was confirmed dead, while the other two were seriously injured and were taken to medical facilities in Mogadishu.
The reports add that the driver of the truck fled the scene of the accident, and security forces are currently searching for him.
This morning’s accident at the Jubba Junction caused traffic on that road to be temporarily closed. It is worth noting that such accidents are often caused by the inexperience of some drivers who drive excessively, which causes them to lose control of the vehicle when faced with dangerous situations.
