Members of the Cabinet and Federal Parliament Suspended from Attending Parliamentary Sessions.

The Speaker of the House of the People of the Somali Parliament has banned members of the House of the People who are also members of the Federal Cabinet from attending the sessions of the House.

The reason for the suspension of these members from the sessions was given as security reasons, while the House’s sub-committee on legislation requested the Speaker to recommend appropriate measures for these members in accordance with the House of the People’s Bylaws.

The four ministers were seen yesterday engaging in direct verbal abuse and threats by opposition MPs. These ministers are:

1) Acting. Mohamed Abdulqaad Haaji (Jeego), Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Somalia.

2) Acting. Omar Ali Abdi, State Minister of the Ministry of Defense.

3) Acting. Isaaq Mohamed Mursal, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

4) Acting. Mohamed Osman Omar, State Minister of the Ministry of Family.

There were also about 20 opposition MPs who also created chaos and chaos in the House of the People and were banned from attending the upcoming sessions of the House of the People.

However, these MPs who were banned from attending parliamentary sessions and some of them spoke to the media and accused Speaker Aaden Mohamed Nur (Aaden Madoobe) of trampling on the law and being their accuser.
