Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre today officially confirmed that he will visit the city of Lascanood in the Sool region after recent speculation that the Prime Minister would visit the city.
He made this statement while attending a handover ceremony at the Ministry of Defense where the new and former Ministers of Defense were exchanging positions. He noted that the purpose of his visit will be to strengthen the relationship between the Transitional Federal Government of SSC Khaatumo and the federal government.
“I will visit Lascanood but it is a specific time and they will work together in the Prime Minister’s office and the leadership of the SSC Khaatumo administration, and I hope we will be informed about it,” said Prime Minister Hamsa.
He revealed that his visit is not to harm the Somali region or administration or to alienate the Somali people, but rather to bring the Somali people closer together.
The Minister of Religious Justice and Endowments of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (SSC) Khaatumo, General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijaar, told the media that they have prepared to welcome the Prime Minister of Somalia.
“We have prepared for the arrival of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia who is expected to arrive in Las Anod,” said the Minister of Religious Justice and Endowments of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (SSC) Khaatumo, General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijaar.
