The Somali Police Command in the Banadir Region said that the Somali Police Force, especially at the Xamar Wayne District Police Station, arrested Abdirahman Suleyman Jama, the Chairman of the People’s Political Organization.
The police statement stated that Abdirahman Suleyman is a suspect who committed acts against national security, although the statement did not elaborate on the type of acts that the police said Abdirahman committed.
They also said that Abdirahman Suleyman will be brought before the Court competent to hear the case against him.
When Abdirahman was arrested, MP Abdikarin Deyr Abdi, one of the MPs representing SSC Khaatumo in the House of the People, was in the car with him, and he told the media that when Abdirahman was arrested, they left the Sanaag Hotel.
He revealed that 3 boys riding a Fekon motorcycle and behind them was a car that was filled with NISA and they dismounted Abdirahman’s car for a while and then ordered him to sell the car and was taken to Godka Jilicow.
Abdirahman Suleyman, the Chairman of the Shacab political organization, recently gave an interview to Shabeele TV and fiercely attacked the leaders of the government, first and foremost Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
