Last night, Somali Police Force units were sent off in Mogadishu to join the fight against Al-Shabaab, especially in the Middle Shabelle region.
The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, accompanied by Deputy Commander Brigadier General Osman Abdullahi Mohamed, sent off the police force in Mogadishu and urged them to strengthen other forces in the front lines of the fight.
“Al-Shabaab are young boys who are afraid and have no people and want to blow themselves up and kill themselves, but you have a leader who loves you and is ready to defend your rights and the Somali nation that supports you,” said Commander Asad, who gave an encouraging speech to the soldiers.
Commander Asad continued, “It is the month of Ramadan. The war you are waging should be a form of worship for you and liberate your country and people from the enemy. We wish you victory.”
These police forces have undergone various training provided by many Turkish government agencies, both domestically and internationally, in the fight against terrorism.
