The Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has announced that two Al-Shabaab leaders were killed in an airstrike.

A press release from NISA stated that the operation in Jambaluul area of ​​Lower Shabelle region killed two leaders and all their guards.

The leaders killed in the airstrike were Farhan Osman Hassan, known as Jafar Karuur, who was the group’s head of bombings in Banadir and Lower Shabelle regions, and Ahmed Gumaar, who was the head of finance in Lower Shabelle region.

The operation that killed these two leaders by NISA is part of operations that have been targeting Al-Shabaab leaders and militias in recent times.
