More news is coming out of a planned attack by the local defense forces known as Maawisleyda in Elbur district of Galgaduud region which is under the control of Al-Shabaab group.
The attack was said that the local forces targeted the residence of Al-Shabaab commander in charge of Al-Bur district, and it was reported that Al-Shabaab suffered losses in the attack.
It is not yet known exactly how much damage Al-Shabaab inflicted on last night’s ambush on the local defense forces operating in Galgaduud region.
The latest reports say that the Maawisley forces that carried out the attack have returned safely from the positions they left, while the group has started to pressurize the people inside the city.
This is the second time that this kind of attack has been carried out by the Maawisley army in Elbur district, which is one of the biggest Al-Shabaab strongholds in Somalia.
