The Committee of the Both Houses of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia issued a press release regarding the opening of the 6th session of the 11th Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, which in recent days has caused a lot of talk about the delay of the Parliament session.
The press release said, “The committee of the two houses of the Parliament of Somalia held consultation meetings on the opening of the 6th session of the Parliament of Somalia, and they decided that the 6th session of Parliament 1 will be officially opened on Saturday and the date is 22 February 2025.”
The MPs who are absent from the country have been called upon to return before the opening of the session in order to speed up the work of the upcoming Parliament to serve the people and the country.
“Members and Senators of both Houses of the Somali Parliament are informed to report before the time decided for the opening of the 6th Session of the Federal Parliament of Somalia; in order to proceed with the implementation of the constitutional obligations to the Somali people.” It was said in a press release of the Council of the two houses.
It was a day ago when the members of the opposition said loudly that if the next few days do not open the sessions of the Parliament, they will open in another place.
