The SSC-Khatumo parliament has decided to establish a committee that will work on the establishment of a constitution that will be owned by the administration, and to hold a general conference soon, which will lead to the administration leaving the interim.
In a statement issued by the Parliament, it was said that the chairman of the council, who previously pushed the issue of the formation of the committee to the judicial bodies, brought it back to the Parliament because there is no Supreme Court, and therefore the council decided to establish the Constitutional Committee.
“The Council passed the Bill for the Establishment of the Constitution Committee to be submitted to the Parliament to prepare a constitution for the SSC-Khatumo,” said a statement issued by the Parliament.
The parliament said that the constitution will be approved at the fateful conference that will be held, which is set by the SSC-Khatumo Management Charter, article 6, second paragraph.
The leader of SSC-Khatumo, Abdiqadir Aw Ali Firdhiye, has already said that an official conference will be held to complete the administration, and the constitution to be implemented is currently being prepared.
“The executive council has agreed that the next regional administration should prepare its constitution. The charter is a promise to us, it will be implemented in the country, and no one can change it,” said Firdhiye.
Recently, there was a dispute between SSC-Khatumo MPs who divided into two factions, who were arguing about the possibility of making a constitution at this time.
