Some members of the Federal Parliament of Somalia in their constituency of Hiran region have spoken strongly about the act that happened yesterday in Eel Baraf area in the Middle Shabelle region where a soldier was killed.
MP Abdimaalik Abdala, who spoke about the act, said that Al-Shabaab, which is among the people, did it to bring them in front of the brotherly clans.
“Today, a Somali army was killed in El Baraf. The army that killed the people recorded the evidence and took pictures. It is known. It is Al-Shabaab among the people. It will not be difficult to quickly bring them before the law. I remind the people that Al-Shabaab is of many types and that is why they are working against each other Sha Allah” said MP Abdimalik Abdala.
The MP called on the people he represents in the Somali Parliament not to take any action and wait for information from the Somali National Army Command.
“Terrorists want to turn the Jihad we have entered into a communal war. We must prevent this,” said MP Abdimaalik Abdala.
MP Mohamed Abdullahi Burale, one of the MPs from Hiraan region, described the attack on El Baraf as a massacre.
“May God have mercy on the martyred soldiers who were brutally killed in El Baraf, the command of the country’s armed forces is required to respond quickly to arrest the brutal killers who committed this act in order to avoid further bloodshed,” said the MP. Bruale.
MP Mohamed Abdulqadir Mohamed called on the National Armed Forces Command to take immediate action against the killers to ensure justice and prevent the bloodshed of soldiers who are fighting Al-Shabaab.
The statements made by the MPs from the Hawadale community are coming as yesterday afternoon in Eel baraf area, about 6 soldiers of the Somali military were killed while they were on their way to Hiraan region.
