The Jubaland administration dismissed the allegations from the Somali Civil Aviation Authority as false.

A press release issued by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of Jubbaland described as false an allegation by the Somali Civil Aviation Authority that the Halla Airline plane was hijacked in Kismayo on December 23, 2024, and the ministry confirmed that Kismayo Airport was not. No security breaches.

The Jubbaland Ministry of Transport said that the Somali Civil Aviation Authority has been involved in the politics between Jubbaland and the Federal Government, and also said that the Somali Civil Aviation Authority has stopped all civil flights going to the regions of the country. 6 December 2024.

Jubbaland said that the Federal Government has already ordered all the planes to transport troops and weapons to the city of Raskambooni, which is completely against the rules of civil aviation.

The press release of the Jubbaland Ministry of Transport said that the Somali Civil Aviation Authority has already stopped flights to Dolow and Bardhere districts in Gedo region, while today it has stopped all civil flights to Kismayo.

In the matter of Halla Airlines, Jubbaland has confirmed that it has taken officials from various councils in Jubbaland, but there is no army or weapon that was taken by the plane which was legally rented from the company.
