Former governor Madale handed over the position of the new mayor of Banadir region.

A ceremony was held last night in Mogadishu where the new governor of Banadir region and the mayor of Mogadishu, Mohamed Ahmed Amir, replaced the former governor, Yusuf Hussein Jimale Madale, and transferred the positions to the Minister of Interior of Somalia.

The event was attended by the Prime Minister of Somalia Hamsa Abdi Barre and some of his Cabinet.

Prime Minister Hamse praised the Governor Yusuf Madale for the hard work he has done in Banadir Region, and he urged the new Mayor of Banadir Amir to speed up the development plans of the capital, first of all public services and that the community should be given a vote and vote to elect their officials.

“We are determined that the advice of the people will be returned and the people of Mogadishu will elect the representative leadership, and I hope that the new governor who took office tonight will be the last governor to be nominated.” He said Prime Minister Hamsa

The new governor G. Banadir Mohamed Ahmed Amir shared with the participants of the event that his plan is to be the last mayor to be appointed and he will guide the people of the capital to elect the regional governor.

Last night’s forum was attended by the Governors of Banadir Region who held positions in Hamar Local Government House such as Omar Mohamed Mohamud Finish and Hassan Mohamed Hussein Muungab.
