Reports from Lower Jubba state that a war broke out this morning between the government forces and the Jubbaland forces in the area of Ras Kambooni in Lower Jubba.
The war that is going on especially in the area called Manarani is reported to be very intense and both sides are using different types of weapons.
It is not known the official loss of the war that started this morning in Manarani area which is approximately 30 KM away from Ras Kamboni area where the federal government has deployed a lot of troops in the past few days.
There is no news from the federal government of Somalia regarding the war that broke out this morning in Manarani area, but Jubbaland said that the government forces attacked the Jubbaland forces.
“The forces of the Jubaland government in their self-defense efforts have inflicted a heavy blow on the militias who were evacuated from Hamar while the Jubaland forces have achieved effective results,” said the statement from Jubbaland.
Jubbaland also said in its statement that it has taken over the defenses of the federal government forces on the front lines of Ras Kambooni area in the Lower Jubba region, and various losses have been caused by the government forces.
The latest reports say that the situation is still tense, and the parties are receiving additional aid to help the opening of the front that started the war.
