Somaliland said that action will be taken against anyone who commits an act that harms peace, slander and organizing tribal meetings.
A press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, “It has been agreed that legal action will be taken against those who call for insecurity, and the law will be brought before anyone who does anything that affects the general security of the Republic of Somaliland”.
It has been decided that legal action will be taken against those who spread insults and insults in the media, which create violence and evil in the society, said the press release.
“The media should refrain from publishing offensive statements that harm the unity of the society and the nationalism of the Republic of Somaliland,” said the decisions issued by the Ministry of Interior.
It has also been decided that starting today, hotels and other gathering places will be stopped from holding tribal meetings, and hotels have been instructed to be wary of tribal meetings, and action will be taken against anyone who allows such meetings.
Finally, it was decided to strengthen public security and borders, these decisions come after recent protests against the mayor of Hargeisa, and tribal meetings in the city.
