The regional government of Jubbaland announced that in the afternoon of yesterday, heavy anti-aircraft weapons attacked a plane that took off from Aden Adde airport in Mogadishu and landed it at the airport in Raas Kambooni area.

Jubbaland has issued a statement saying that the anti-aircraft attack on its forces was carrying cargo and military equipment which it was carrying to the Somali government in Raskanbooni area.

“At 5:20 p.m., the Jubbaland army fired anti-aircraft guns at a cargo plane that was transporting militiamen to Raskambooni. The plane ran away from the direction of its landing and landed on the Kenyan border, narrowly escaping from the airport. The Jubbaland army shot at them” was said in the news broadcast on Jubbaland TV.

The statement from Jubbaland also said that the forces of that administration have established positions not far from the airport in Ras Kambooni area of ​​Lower Jubba region.

“The army of Jubaland is determined to end the Hamar militias that were brought in by airplanes to disrupt the security of the areas of Jubaland,” said the text broadcast on Jubbaland TV.

This news from Jubbaland comes to light, as yesterday the federal government suspended all flights in the country, after the government and the airlines could not understand each other about the flights that the government wanted to take the army and military base to Ras Kamboni.
