The government of Somalia has strongly condemned the measures that Ethiopia is carrying out in Gedo region, which is confronting the communities living there, and has accused it of interfering in the sovereignty and independence of Somalia.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Information of Somalia said that this morning Ethiopian troops from Dolow district moved towards Bulo Hawo district, but they were confronted by the local people and the Armed Forces who refused to enter Bulo Hawo district. .
“Somalia is always ready to be a good neighbor and live in peace, but the administration of Addis Ababa is in the habit of creating conflicts in the region and taking measures against the independence of Somalia,” said a press release. Somalia’s Ministry of Information
“The Federal Government of Somalia is ready to defend its independence and nationalism, and it calls on the international community, led by the United Nations and the African Union, to condemn these heinous acts of Ethiopia that harm the peace of the region and the world at large,” he added in the press release.
All these issues are coming while there is a strong conflict between the Government of Somalia and the Government of Ethiopia which resulted from the agreement that Ethiopia entered into with Somaliland.
