Minister of Information of Puntland state, Eng. Mohamud Aydid Dirir said that they welcome President Hassan Sheikh’s statement that he is ready to come to Garowe to judge.
The Minister of Information said that the advice is to come together and discuss how to hold a unified election in the country in 2026.
Although Minister Aydeed said that they welcome President Hassan Sheikh’s speech, he said that the President is not ready to have a serious discussion.
Eng. Ayidid said that the federal government of Somalia is not capable of holding an election in Afgoye, saying that there is a need to face the reality.
He accused the Federal Government of working to divide the member states of the Federal Government, creating conflicts and insecurity among them.
President Hassan Sheikh recently said that he is ready to go to the states that are not at the negotiating table in the country. He said if they are willing, he will go to their places, so that the country can overcome the current conflict.
