The Deputy Minister of Information of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdirahman Yusuf Aladala, has accused the Puntland administration of refusing to allow Somalia to have a national army operating anywhere in Somalia.

Minister Alcadala said that Puntland has clearly opposed the recruitment of troops from their areas, so that they can be part of the Somali army.

He said that the Somali communities should operate directly from the armed forces in their various divisions. He said the only place where the Somali army was rejected was Puntland.

“Isn’t it known that the Puntland administration stopped the brigades that were intended to operate in the 54th and this area? “The army trained by the federal government, which was supposed to fight against Al-Shabaab in Galgala, is opposed by Puntland,” said Alcadala.

He said that the government of Somalia is going on, saying that the government is ready to sit down with Puntland and discuss what it is missing.

The statement of the Deputy Minister of Information came after President Deni recently said that Puntland is alone in the fight against Al-Shabaab and Daesh. He said that the international support for the security of the country did not pass Mogadishu.
