The Somali Police Command has issued orders related to the protection of the environment and security for the people living in Mogadishu, and the orders have been directed to be implemented by the security forces.

Among the orders issued by the Somali Police is the recent decision issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, which banned the importation and trade of bags.

Police spokesman Abdifitah Adan Hassan who spoke to the media said that strict action will be taken against those who are found trading or using Bagda.

“Anyone who is seen with a bag or doing business with it will be taken strict action according to the law. After that, bags are prohibited. People are also told to protect the health of people and animals and the environment. Do not use bags and use other things that are better. which was replaced by bags” said the spokesman of the Somali Police Force, Abdifatah Aden Hassan.

The spokesperson of the Police Force also sent a strong warning to the groups known as Iyaal Werada which seem to have re-emerged in parts of Mogadishu.

“Anyone who is seen engaging in acts of child aggression, those who harass people will be taken action according to the law, mother and father know what the child is doing. Anyone who is caught attacking children will be brought before the law,” said the spokesman again.

This statement by the Somali Police comes as the Somali Police have been conducting security operations in Mogadishu for the past few days.
